Non! Kamesa n’ est pas dépourvue en eau potable

Le Directeur de ‘Eau, Innocent NKURUNZIZA répondant aux journalistes

Une partie de Kamesa, en Zone Musaga voit son alimentation en eau potable quelque peu perturbée ces derniers jours, du fait que certaines mesures ont été prises notamment celle de servir l’autre partie dans les contreforts de cette même localité de Kamesa. Selon le Directeur de l’eau à la REGIDESO qui l’expliquait à la presse sur terrain, ce n’est vraiment pas une pénurie d’eau, mais plutôt un rationnement de cette denrée entre les deux parties de Kamesa, celle des contreforts et celle d’en bas. Et de fait, en remontant les hauteurs vers les contreforts de Kamesa, le Directeur de l’Eau a croisé un homme, habitant du coin, une soixantaine bien révolue, qui ne tarissait pas d’éloges «car aujourd’hui l’eau coule bien dans les robinets », tranchant vertement avec les propos alarmistes des voisins d’en bas (qui sont en rationnement).

Le Directeur de l’Eau, Innocent NKURUNZIZA, explique cela du fait que la demande est plus élevée par rapport à l’offre en eau potable. Il suffit de constater à quel rythme la ville de Bujumbura s’agrandit, et cela amène la REGIDESO à un déficit de 50 millions de litres d’eau potable.

L’ eau vient par alternance

Par ailleurs, les perturbations climatiques observées récemment ont eu un impact négatif sur la production d’eau car l’eau captée du Lac Tanganyika devient trop trouble et indécente pour la consommation par les humains. A préciser que la localité de Kamesa se trouve au sud et en contrebas de la route Bujumbura-Ijenda, à quelques encablures du pont qui s’est effondré près du lieudit Kwa Ruhara (voir la photo).

Bien plus, Innocent NKURUNZIZA en a profité pour expliquer que la REGIDESO est au service de tout le monde. Il a invité les bénéficiaires, et tout le public en général, à couper court avec le phénomène de vol d’eau. En cas de difficulté, les autorités de la REGIDESO sont disponibles pour y remédier.

Aux habitants de Bujumbura, le Directeur de l’Eau sollicite patience et compréhension, car les solutions sont en train d’être trouvées, notamment des efforts particuliers qui sont en train d’être actifs pour multiplier et renforcer les points de production d’eau dans les zones périphériques, dont Kamesa justement.
